Urban Quarter Bali:

Our first house on the island sits within the vibrant heart of Seminyak

When designing Urban Quarter Bali in Seminyak, our team was inspired by the tropical modernism of the region, blending traditional Balinese elements with contemporary architecture. The facade features a playful combination of sustainably sourced wood, creating a striking contrast that invites natural light while maintaining privacy.

Inside, the spaces reflect the laid-back yet sophisticated vibe of Seminyak, utilizing open layouts that encourage airflow and seamless indoor-outdoor living. The interiors showcase locally sourced materials, such as teak wood and stone special-effects paint, used in innovative ways to highlight the artisanal craftsmanship of Bali. The lounge areas feature our best-selling furniture custom-made rattan furniture and lush tropical plants, reinforcing the connection to nature.

Color is thoughtfully applied to delineate different areas within Urban Quarter. The dining area is marked by warm earth tones and ceramic accents, which contrast with the cooler blues and greens used in the private cabanas by the pool. Overhead, bamboo ceilings and handcrafted pendant lights shaped like traditional fishing baskets cast a soft, ambient glow.

The highlight of Urban Quarter is the garden pavilion, designed to resemble a modern interpretation of a Balinese temple. This tranquil space serves as a versatile venue for events and relaxation, featuring a water feature made from local volcanic stone and surrounded by an array of native ferns and palms. The use of natural stone and the strategic placement of reflective surfaces amplify the serene atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat within the bustling surroundings.
