New In: Ceramic Tableware to Love

To shop local is to support your local economy and the industry. For us at Urban Quarter, shopping local means to share experiences, traditions and to create a community. Additionally, it’s about opening our homes with one-of-a-kind objects that are mostly handmade. What does shopping local mean to you?
Started in 2016, we have introduced 50+ local artisans with their one-of-a-kind products to you! These local artisans have also been the ones from across our country. We are obsessed with these local arts that are proudly made in Indonesia and helping these small businesses grow together, like ceramic tableware, handwoven natural baskets and objects, and more.
With this, we’re excited to announce the new stocks we have for our ceramic tableware from Kevala Ceramics and Sajiva Ceramics. We’ve got more seasoned local makers that will be debuting their new products. Check out the first wave here, and stay tuned for more soon!

Kevala Ceramics:

When you dine in fancy restaurants in Bali, chances are, the ceramic tableware from condiment holders, plates and bowls you ate from are from Kevala Ceramics. An icon to the ceramic and stoneware industry, all Kevala Ceramics pieces are handcrafted and hand-painted. Using traditional craftsmanship, each pieces are designed to look modern, sophisticated and elegant for casual to formal meals.

These new stoneware pieces that are launched on our website focuses more for dinnerware, from serving plates and bowls to individual dinner plates and bowls and small bread and butter plates. What we love most from these pieces are its dual functionality, where they can be used for dining and also as a decorative piece whether for the bathroom or your living room.

Sajiva Ceramics

A local maker from Jakarta, Indonesia. Sajiva Ceramics focuses on unique colors along with traditional handcrafted method. What we love about Sajiva is the warmth and subtle look on each of the ceramic piece, using glazes and imported clay to exude its raw materials. For the latest collection, Sajiva introduces a cool yet earthy colors and looks for their tableware pieces. From dinner plates to bowls, they are the right combination of chic and modern, adding instant pop of colors to your dining table.
